Other Duties of the Board

  1. The Board is required to enquire into any complaint made to it concerning any failure to recognise the rights given by the Act to an involuntary patient or any other matter to do with the administration of the Act: section 146.


  2. The Minister for Health may direct the Board to inquire into any matter to do with the administration of the Act: section 147.


  3. The Chief Psychiatrist may report to the Board on matters concerning the medical care or welfare of involuntary patients: section 10(d).
