The patient or any party to the review may request
reasons for the Board's decision within 14 days of the review. Once
completed the reasons for the decision will be distributed to the
patient and the treating or supervising psychiatrist.
If a patient or any other interested person is dissatisfied with
the Board's decision a further review may be requested. Alternatively,
an appeal may be made to the Supreme Court. In this situation it is
essential for the person to discuss the matter with a lawyer.
